People & Culture Lead

About the role

Apollo, a fast‑growing B2B ClimateTech SaaS startup in Turkey, is seeking a People & Culture Lead to shape its talent, performance, and culture foundations as it scales through Series A and beyond. You will own the hiring framework, performance systems, and employee engagement initiatives, working directly with the CEO and leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own the hiring framework and scorecard system for every open role in partnership with hiring managers.
• Standardize interview processes and evaluation criteria across the company.
• Build and run the performance management system, including goals, feedback rhythms, and calibration.
• Embed Apollo’s values into hiring, onboarding, and recognition practices.
• Develop systems to surface attrition risk early and act on it.
• Own People Ops infrastructure (onboarding, compliance, payroll coordination) and scale it as the company grows.
• Track and report Quality of Hire, Time to Hire, and Retention Rate to leadership.
• Support organizational design and maturity through Series A and global expansion phases.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in People & Culture, Talent, or HR leadership, preferably in a scale‑up environment.
• Proven experience designing hiring frameworks, scorecards, or structured evaluation systems.
• High agency and ability to move forward in ambiguity without waiting for direction.
• Strong execution discipline with a track record of building follow‑up systems.
• Systems thinking across hiring, performance, and culture.
• In‑depth knowledge of labor law and HR compliance in Turkey and internationally.
• Fluency in English.
