Project Associate – Assisted Voluntary Return Management

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Associate to support its Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) programme in Turkey. Working under the supervision of the National Project Officer (Compliance) and the Senior Project Associate, the incumbent will contribute to the delivery of humane and orderly return services for migrants who wish to go back to their countries of origin.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support to AVRR programme activities at the mission level.
• Assist in case management, documentation, and coordination with the Presidency of Migration Management, NGOs, and diplomatic missions.
• Support monitoring, reporting, and compliance tasks related to return and reintegration processes.
• Facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth programme implementation.

Required profile

• School diploma with at least five years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with three years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, or other vulnerable groups.
• Willingness and ability to work in a multicultural, humanitarian environment.
