Project Associate – Migration and Labour Market Integration

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Associate to support the "Promoting Sustainable and Socially Inclusive Labour Market Integration" project in Ankara. Reporting to the Senior Programme Coordinator, you will help ensure that project objectives are met and that daily activities are implemented effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and monitoring project activities to achieve set results.
• Facilitate communication and liaison with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other partners.
• Support the implementation of activities aimed at integrating migrants and vulnerable groups into the labour market.
• Contribute to reporting, documentation, and compliance with donor requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, or other vulnerable groups.
• Prior experience with international humanitarian organisations or multi‑cultural settings is an advantage.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of migration and displacement issues.
• Strong understanding of UN systems, project management, and donor‑funded programming.
• Familiarity with financial regulations, budgeting, and compliance requirements.
