Purchasing Commodity Professional – BU

About the role

OPmobility is looking for a Purchasing Commodity Professional to lead purchasing strategies for a defined supplier scope, identify market opportunities and drive cost‑reduction programs across the automotive supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity strategy, manage supply base and conduct market analysis (benchmarks, fairs, trends).
• Lead sourcing, negotiation and contract management while ensuring quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Oversee the order‑to‑pay process, verify spend authorisations and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Handle supplier crises, support escalations and lead problem‑solving initiatives.
• Contribute to the purchasing budget through sustainable cost‑saving activities and risk management.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field.
• At least 2 years of purchasing experience in an industrial environment, preferably automotive.
• Fluent English with strong analytical abilities.

Required skills

• SAP MM module knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of logistics and finance processes.
