Senior Accountant - General Ledger & Month-End Closing

About the role

A leading international company is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its finance team. The role sits in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and plays a key part in accounting operations, financial integrity and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting activities in line with company policies and accounting principles
• Manage month-end and year-end closing accurately and on time
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of General Ledger accounts
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate financial records
• Monitor transactions and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Support internal and external audits by providing the required documentation
• Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams and contribute to process improvement initiatives
• Take part in SAP FI-related accounting activities and support system enhancements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field
• At least 6 years of experience in General Ledger or Corporate Accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end closing
• Advanced level of written and spoken English
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic, multinational environment; experience in multinational companies is an advantage
• CPA (SMMM) certification is a plus

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with SAP FI
• Advanced MS Excel
