Senior Accounting Specialist

About the role

Kalyon Holding, a leading Turkish conglomerate, is looking for a Senior Accounting Specialist to join the Kalyon Construction headquarters. The role focuses on ensuring accurate accounting records, compliance with Turkish tax law, and supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record accounting transactions in SAP according to the Uniform Chart of Accounts and tax regulations.
• Monitor E‑Invoice and E‑Archive portals, perform acceptance/rejection procedures, and create SAP entries after approval.
• Conduct account reconciliations with group companies, customers, and suppliers.
• Support the preparation and timely filing of tax declarations.
• Record cash transactions and employee advances for headquarters and branch operations.
• Assist with monthly and annual closing processes, including depreciation, valuation, accruals, and trial‑balance controls.
• Participate in VAT refund processes and handle import/export accounting entries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a large‑scale corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish tax legislation, accounting regulations and the Uniform Chart of Accounts.
• Experience with E‑Invoice and E‑Archive applications.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills; English proficiency preferred.
• Male candidates must have completed military service; no travel restrictions.
• Preferably residing on the Anatolian side of Istanbul.
