Senior Android Developer (Kotlin) - Remote

About the role

A partner company is recruiting a Senior Android Developer (Kotlin) based in Turkey to join a remote, international team. The role builds and improves native Android applications with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusive design, using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and Android Views. It is a long-term B2B contract with a stable pipeline of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native Android apps in Kotlin, adding features and improving existing ones
• Build components with Jetpack Compose and/or Android Views, keeping code stable, performant and maintainable
• Implement and optimise accessibility features, including TalkBack compatibility, content descriptions, accessibility roles and states, and focus management
• Support scalable text, accessible font sizes and appropriately sized touch targets
• Test accessibility, especially with TalkBack, and validate implementations against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in native Android development
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing accessibility features in Android apps
• Good English and the ability to work in an international team

Required skills

• Strong Kotlin and commercial experience with Jetpack Compose and/or Android Views
• Experience with TalkBack, Android Accessibility APIs and Compose Semantics
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, ideally WCAG 2.1 and 2.2
