Senior Cloud Engineer – Azure

About the role

Proxify is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer specialized in Microsoft Azure to design, automate, and maintain high‑availability cloud infrastructure for a global client. You will own enterprise Azure landing zones, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipeline automation while ensuring reliability, cost efficiency, and zero‑trust security.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy enterprise‑grade Azure infrastructure using Terraform or Bicep, managing modular IaC libraries and state files across multiple subscriptions.
• Provision, patch, and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, handling autoscaling, ingress routing, and service‑mesh policies.
• Design, maintain, and secure automated CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, incorporating automated security scanning and zero‑downtime releases.
• Enforce Azure Policy guardrails, audit IAM roles via Microsoft Entra ID, rotate secrets in Azure Key Vault, and remediate vulnerabilities identified by Defender for Cloud.
• Monitor system metrics, respond to incidents, conduct root‑cause analyses, and drive cloud cost‑optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience managing enterprise Azure environments, including compute, networking, and storage.
• Advanced mastery of Terraform or Bicep for infrastructure‑as‑code automation.
• Proven experience building and scaling AKS clusters and deploying applications with Helm charts.
• Deep knowledge of Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation.
• Strong understanding of zero‑trust security, Azure AD (Entra ID), Azure Policy, RBAC, and Key Vault.
