Senior Embedded Systems Engineer – RF Systems

About the role

Analog Devices is seeking a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer with deep RF expertise to lead the design, development, and optimization of embedded platforms for next‑generation wireless technologies. This highly technical, research‑driven position combines firmware development, hardware integration, and system‑level performance tuning.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement embedded system architectures for RF front‑end and transceiver platforms.
• Develop firmware and low‑level drivers for RF control, calibration, and signal processing.
• Integrate RF hardware such as PAs, LNAs, filters, tuners, switches, and transceivers with embedded software.
• Explore new control methodologies for adaptive RF systems, including beamforming and dynamic tuning.
• Develop automated test frameworks, perform system‑level debugging, and ensure compliance with LTE, 5G NR, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of embedded systems engineering experience with a focus on RF systems.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ for real‑time embedded development.
• Experience with microcontrollers, DSPs, FPGAs and SoCs used in RF applications.
• Solid understanding of RF system design, calibration and control.

Required skills

• Embedded Linux, RTOS and hardware abstraction layers.
• Digital signal processing for RF applications.
• High‑speed interfaces such as SPI, I2C, PCIe and Ethernet.
• Use of lab equipment including spectrum analyzers, VNAs and oscilloscopes.
