Software Development Engineer (C++ & Full-Stack)

About the role

Siemens Turkey R&D, which develops technologies for electrification, automation and digitalization, is looking for a Software Development Engineer to contribute to end-to-end software development of runtime platforms and industrial software applications. The role covers design, implementation, documentation and testing, and works in an Agile team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance C++ backend components alongside operator interfaces and diagnostic dashboards built with React, JavaScript and modern web standards.
• Develop and optimize 3D visualization components for real-time industrial simulations, digital twins and operator views.
• Integrate real-time data communication between backend runtime components (including robotic or automation systems) and frontend visualization tools.
• Work in multi-repository setups, coordinating code integrations, shared libraries and pull-request reviews.
• Contribute to system and software architecture, requirements engineering and technical design, and support defect analysis and performance, UI/3D rendering and communication issues.
• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders and cross-functional teams, and follow coding standards, testing strategies and CI/CD practices.

Required profile

• BSc, MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Very good command of written and spoken English, and strong collaboration skills across distributed teams.
• No restriction on travelling abroad.

Required skills

• C++ with object-oriented design, multi-threading, concurrency, IPC, data structures and algorithms.
• JavaScript and React for user-facing applications and dashboards.
• Git and CI/CD pipelines, including multi-repository workflows.
• Agile methodology.
• Strong plus: 3D visualization (WebGL, Three.js, Deck.gl), ROS, computer vision, Linux development, Docker, distributed systems and microservices.
