Software Engineer (Remote, Contract)

About the role

This contract position offers the opportunity to work remotely on diverse codebases, contributing expert-level code and debugging strategies across multiple programming languages.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute expert-level code samples, debugging strategies, and development insights in Python3, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement robust new features with scalability and maintainability in mind.
• Refactor and optimize legacy code to improve clarity and efficiency.
• Document technical reasoning and solution approaches to enhance AI training data quality.
• Review and validate peer‑contributed code for accuracy and clarity.

Required profile

• Strong backend experience with Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, or C++.
• Proven track record building scalable services and APIs.
• Comfort with debugging, performance work, and automated testing.
• Solid code‑review instincts and experience delivering high‑quality projects.
• Demonstrated success in identifying and resolving software bugs and system bottlenecks.
• Experience refactoring large codebases and implementing complex features.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and core computer‑science concepts.
