Software Installation Engineer

About the role

Join Siemens Healthineers as a Software Installation Engineer, supporting oncology information systems across the EMEA region. You will work on‑site to install, upgrade and hand over critical software that directly impacts patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site installation and upgrades of Oncology Information Systems and related equipment.
• Travel 50–75% of the time across the EMEA region, with most installations lasting about one week.
• Conduct software upgrades during weekends to minimise disruption to clinical workflows.
• Take ownership of testing, validation and handover of life‑impacting software solutions after comprehensive training.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50–75% of the time).
• Fluency in English and the local language, both spoken and written.
• Curiosity and motivation to continuously learn new technologies.

Required skills

• Knowledge of VMWare and Citrix virtualization platforms.
• Experience with Windows Server/Client operating systems.
• Familiarity with Domains, Active Directory and MS SQL.
• Ability to perform system‑level troubleshooting.
