About the role

The Steward supports the Food & Beverage operations at a Marriott hotel in Izmir by ensuring all kitchen and service areas are clean, sanitized, and well‑stocked. This full‑time, on‑site position is essential for maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect, and organize kitchen tools, knives, tables, and storage areas using appropriate chemicals.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly, rotate stock, and ensure clean wares are stored in designated locations.
• Use the 3‑compartment sink for detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing cycles; inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items.
• Break down dirty bus tubs, empty trashcans, and manage dumpster areas.
• Clean and mop assigned departments, dispose of glass and recyclables properly.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report maintenance needs and incidents.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, twist, and stoop for extended periods.
