Technical Director - New Games

About the role

Voodoo is looking for a Technical Director to lead the creation of its next casual hit. Based in Istanbul, you will build the technical foundation of a new puzzle game studio from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the General Manager to structure, recruit, and onboard the technical team.
• Define and establish technical foundations, including a switcher engine, level editor, and live‑operations tools.
• Develop engineering practices, team rituals, and collaboration processes.
• Set and execute a long‑term technical strategy aligned with product and studio goals.
• Work with product leadership on roadmap, rollouts, and adoption strategies.
• Engage in hands‑on coding for new features and rapid iteration based on player feedback.
• Monitor product health and guide the team to continuously improve quality.
• Contribute to studio strategy, operations, and people management.

Required profile

• 3+ years as a Technical Director or Technical Lead on casual games.
• 5+ years of professional Unity experience.
• Proven track record in top‑tier mobile casual games, both new and live.
• Experience creating, growing, and leading engineering teams.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and hands‑on coding abilities.
• Passion for casual games and an entrepreneurial mindset.
