Senior Data Engineer

About the role

HangiKredi, Turkey's leading banking products comparison platform, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain advanced data pipelines supporting its dynamic financial assistant vision.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain distributed data processing pipelines and applications.
• Perform data quality profiling, validation, and monitoring for both structured and unstructured datasets.
• Troubleshoot and conduct root‑cause analysis on data pipeline failures.
• Collaborate with data science and BI teams to deliver analytical solutions.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers and lead technical decisions on data architecture.
• Design monitoring systems to measure data system performance and ensure security, privacy, and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field.
• At least 6 years of experience in data engineering and data modeling.
• Hands‑on experience with real‑time streaming using Kafka.
• Familiarity with data modeling techniques such as dimensional modeling and data vault.
• Understanding of data architectures like data lake, data mesh, lakehouse, and data warehouse.
