Associate Manager Finance

About the role

Mattel is seeking an Associate Manager Finance to join its Pan‑EMEA Commercial Finance team in Turkey. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager PEM, you will partner with local country managers and the Mattel Action Teams to drive market share, top‑line growth and profitability while navigating macro‑economic challenges such as hyper‑inflation and FX volatility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strong business partnering to the local MAT team to achieve the full financial plan.
• Own the country P&L and working capital, taking decisive action on macro‑economic pressures.
• Support the marketing team by establishing profitability goals by brand and managing the sales‑by‑brand forecasting cycle.
• Conduct financial analysis for seasonal pricing, A&P spend vs. budget, and brand consumption models.
• Budget, track, and influence customer trading terms, and actively participate in trade‑term negotiations.
• Strategically plan future investments by channel and customer segment; manage price exception requests.
• Oversee accounts receivable, manage customer credit risk, and optimize cash flow.
• Participate in monthly consensus meetings to support sales targets, margin, and inventory planning.
• Assist in annual financial planning, quarterly forecast updates, and monthly/quarterly closing activities.
• Support zero‑based budgeting (ZBB) and prepare monthly management reports versus plan/forecast.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of commercial finance experience.
• Strong analytical and business partnering skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, high‑inflation environment.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
