Civil Engineer - Supervision Engineer (Construction Site)

About the role

An experienced Civil Engineer is sought as a Supervision Engineer for construction projects in Istanbul. The role involves supervising construction activities on site, coordinating between the design team and the contractor, and ensuring works comply with approved drawings and specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Review and check design documents for compliance with project specifications, codes and standards
• Coordinate between the design team and the contractor to resolve design-related issues on site
• Supervise daily construction activities so that works follow approved drawings and specifications
• Inspect and approve construction materials, verifying quality, quantity and compliance with standards
• Review contractor invoices, progress claims and payment applications for accuracy and entitlement
• Monitor progress against the approved schedule and report deviations
• Document site activities, inspections, material tests and non-conformances
• Coordinate with consultants, clients and other stakeholders as required

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Site Engineer on construction projects
• Experience in design coordination and contractor supervision
• Good command of English and Turkish (preferred)
• Ability to work independently on site and under pressure
• Valid driving licence is an advantage

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and quality control procedures
• Familiarity with reviewing contractor invoices and payment certificates
