Internal Auditor

About the role

We are seeking an Internal Auditor to lead risk‑based audit activities across our organization. The role will focus on evaluating internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting continuous improvement in a fast‑moving fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual risk‑based internal audit plan covering operational, financial, compliance and IT areas.
• Conduct audits, assess control effectiveness, and identify weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare audit reports with practical recommendations and present findings to senior management.
• Monitor remediation plans and verify implementation of corrective actions.
• Assess enterprise‑wide risk management processes, segregation of duties and fraud prevention controls.
• Support regulatory inspections, AML/CFT compliance, KYC, transaction monitoring and sanctions screening.
• Review IT general controls, cybersecurity measures, access management, data protection and blockchain‑related operational controls.
• Recommend enhancements to policies, SOPs and control frameworks and promote a strong risk and compliance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance or external audit.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, payment institutions, cryptocurrency exchanges or blockchain companies.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and report‑writing abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of internal control frameworks such as COSO.
• Familiarity with AML/KYC, fraud risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Understanding of IT general controls (ITGC) and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience with blockchain‑related operational controls and smart‑contract governance (where applicable).
