Junior Software Engineer with Accounting Experience

About the role

Sezzle is looking for a Junior Software Engineer who also brings accounting experience to help build fintech solutions. The position is fully remote and offers the chance to work in a fast‑growing team that blends finance and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design and operations teams to develop and maintain financial software.
• Design, code, test and document new features and enhancements.
• Use accounting knowledge to identify automation opportunities and improve reconciliation workflows.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment.
• Monitor system performance using Grafana, Loki and Prometheus.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a background in accounting who has transitioned to software engineering.
• Motivated, able to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and good communication skills.

Required skills

• Golang for backend development.
• React and React Native for front‑end work.
• Kubernetes and AWS for cloud infrastructure.
• Amazon Aurora (MySQL) RDS for database management.
• GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Unit, integration and end‑to‑end testing.
• Grafana, Loki and Prometheus for monitoring.
