Key Account Manager

About the role

The logistics company is transitioning from transactional freight sales to long‑term, solution‑based partnerships. As a Key Account Manager you will lead the acquisition and growth of strategic accounts across multiple transport modes and supply‑chain services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a commercial strategy for the assigned sector portfolio (automotive, retail, industrial, healthcare).
• Identify, acquire and build senior‑level relationships with new strategic accounts.
• Analyse customers’ supply‑chain requirements and design multimodal solutions (air, ocean, road, contract logistics).
• Grow existing strategic accounts by expanding services and geographic coverage.
• Coordinate with air, ocean, road, contract logistics and supply‑chain business units to deliver integrated solutions.
• Collaborate with international counterparts on cross‑border accounts.
• Manage sales pipeline, pricing, forecasting and report commercial performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of customer‑facing experience in international logistics.
• Deep sector knowledge in at least one of: automotive, retail/FMCG, industrial/manufacturing, or healthcare & life‑sciences logistics.
• Proven track record of acquiring and developing new accounts.
• Strong understanding of contract logistics, road transport, and working knowledge of air and ocean freight forwarding.
• International commercial experience with advanced English communication skills.
• Experience working in matrix organisations and managing multi‑stakeholder sales cycles.
• Analytical, negotiation and presentation abilities; comfortable with long sales cycles and commercial targets.
