Lead Music Development – Turkey

About the role

Spotify is looking for a Lead Music Development to champion its presence in the Turkish music ecosystem. You will act as the primary architect of relationships with labels, industry bodies and other stakeholders, shaping narratives and driving strategic initiatives that strengthen Spotify’s market position.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead relationships with major and independent labels, CMOs and key music partners across Turkey.
• Drive strategic alignment through Quarterly Business Reviews and long‑term growth initiatives.
• Represent Spotify at events, panels and industry forums as a trusted voice.
• Craft and deliver clear narratives about Spotify’s platform, values and innovations.
• Collaborate with Marketing, PR, Government Affairs and global Music teams to align communication strategies.
• Provide market insights on trends, emerging genres and listener behavior.
• Translate data into actionable strategies for artists, partners and business growth.
• Design education programmes to help partners understand Spotify’s tools and opportunities.
• Manage budgets for impactful programs across the local music ecosystem.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in media, entertainment or technology with exposure to rights, partnerships or content strategy.
• Deep understanding of the digital music ecosystem, streaming models and platform dynamics.
• Proven ability to build senior‑level relationships in complex stakeholder environments.
• Fluent in Turkish and English, comfortable presenting publicly.
• Strong knowledge of the Turkish music landscape, including regulatory and industry dynamics.
