Lifeguard

About the role

Rixos, a Turkish resort group established in 2000, is hiring a lifeguard to keep its swimming pool areas safe. The role covers day-to-day safety, guest care and pool maintenance, working closely with other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Keep pool areas safe by following health, safety and fire prevention policies and procedures.
• Train staff on lifesaving techniques and procedures, focusing on swimming ability, stamina, strokes and water awareness.
• Respond immediately to guests' needs and report serious situations to the Lifeguard Team Leader, Lifeguard Supervisor or Security Supervisor.
• Follow lost-and-found procedures and report valuables left unattended to the Lifeguard Supervisor or Security Supervisor.
• Report any change in pool water chemistry or clarity to the Recreation Supervisor/Manager and the Engineering Department, and keep pool temperature consistent and correct.
• Attend scheduled training classes, maintain proper grooming and cooperate with other departments.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the Security Manager and comply with the Employee Handbook, Disciplinary Code and applicable laws.

Required profile

• Valid and approved Lifeguard certification.
• Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
• Previous lifeguard experience preferred, ideally in a hotel, beach, swimming pool or waterpark setting.
• High alertness, vigilance and responsibility; strong observation and emergency response skills.
