Methods Engineer

About the role

JCI is looking for a Methods Engineer to design, develop and optimise manufacturing methods and production processes. The role works closely with production, quality, maintenance and engineering teams to improve productivity, workflow efficiency and overall manufacturing performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support new product introductions and process implementation activities.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation and production standards.
• Define and optimise production flow, workstation layouts and operational sequences.
• Conduct time studies and method studies to set and improve standard operating times.
• Lead line balancing and capacity analysis activities.
• Analyse and improve material flow across manufacturing operations.
• Develop operator training materials, work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Lead process improvement projects focused on efficiency, quality and cost reduction.
• Create clear operator instructions, standard work documents and training manuals.

Required profile

• Solid experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, methods engineering or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering or a related field preferred.
• Experience driving operational efficiency, productivity and cost reduction initiatives.

Required skills

• Process optimisation, work measurement, time studies and production planning.
• Production flow design, plant layout and workstation design.
• Line balancing, capacity calculations, manpower planning and workflow optimisation.
• Material flow analysis and lean manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.
