People and Culture Manager

About the role

The People and Culture Manager will lead the HR function for Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, a luxury hotel in Istanbul. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, the role ensures that all HR policies, recruitment, employee relations and development initiatives align with the hotel’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support, develop, implement and uphold corporate and hotel People & Culture policies and procedures.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle for all vacancies, adhering to budget and operational needs.
• Provide coaching, counselling and performance‑management support to department heads and staff.
• Oversee employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and exits.
• Ensure HR administration complies with legal and hotel requirements.
• Represent the Director of People & Culture during their absence.
• Handle day‑to‑day personnel administration, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Promote colleague welfare, health, safety and social activities.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a luxury hotel environment (preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Fluency in Turkish and English.
• Quality‑driven with a passion for excellence.
• Strong organizational, administrative and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Ability to multitask, delegate and work fairly with an open‑mind.
