About the role
The Port Captain will coordinate and oversee vessel operations at berth for MSC Shipping Agency in Tekirdağ, ensuring smooth terminal service and adherence to schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and monitor live berth activities, manage berth performance and minimize quay losses.
- Coordinate berthing programs with terminals, secure berths, issue gang orders and ensure vessel schedules are met.
- Act as the primary contact between MSC agents and terminal staff to increase productivity and reduce port stay.
- Report any vessel‑related issues that could delay operations to the appropriate managers.
Required profile
- Graduated in maritime or port management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in vessel/terminal operations.
- Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Flexible and able to work busy, variable hours.
- Team management, analytical thinking and self‑motivation.
Required skills
- Proficient use of MS Office applications.
