Procurement Engineer

About the role

Blitz Technology seeks a Procurement Engineer to manage technical procurement for its Gimbal ISR Systems and Video Processing Modules. The role is based in the Pendik/Kurtköy area of Istanbul and works closely with engineering, production, and R&D teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international procurement of electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical components.
• Identify suitable suppliers based on BOMs, technical drawings, datasheets and engineering requirements.
• Evaluate quotations for technical compliance, cost, lead time and commercial terms.
• Handle the full procurement cycle: RFQs, purchase orders, order confirmations and delivery follow‑up.
• Support commercial negotiations on pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Research alternative components for critical, obsolete or long‑lead‑time items.
• Track procurement activities in the ERP system and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor supplier performance and develop new supplier relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical purchasing, procurement or supply chain.
• Strong ability to read and interpret BOMs, datasheets, technical drawings and specifications.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
