Senior Full-Stack Platform Engineer

About the role

Synaps is building an AI‑enhanced browser‑based CAD platform. We are looking for a Senior Full‑Stack Platform Engineer to own and evolve the production services that support the application outside the core editor. The role combines customer‑facing feature delivery with design, implementation and operation of backend, data, realtime and infrastructure components.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate backend APIs, services and data models that power the platform.
• Own authentication, authorization, tenancy, billing and storage across product features.
• Develop realtime services enabling collaborative experiences.
• Ship full‑stack features, including frontend, APIs, permissions, reliability and observability.
• Define safe contracts between the browser client, backend services, realtime systems and the editor.
• Implement trust boundaries for AI workloads, handling authentication, usage tracking and credit settlement.
• Build event‑driven workflows with proper retry, idempotency and failure recovery.
• Ensure security, observability, cost‑control, migrations and rollback from day one.
• Collaborate with editor, AI engineering, product design and the CTO on architecture and high‑risk decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience owning production systems end‑to‑end.
• Comfortable turning product requirements into maintainable, observable services.
• Strong sense of responsibility for reliability and operability at scale.
• Ability to work across the full stack, from UI to infrastructure.
