Senior Site Specialist

About the role

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation. As a Senior Site Specialist you will be the primary operational contact for investigator sites, overseeing start‑up, maintenance and close‑out activities while ensuring a positive and efficient site experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage advanced site‑level activities, including collection, review and maintenance of essential documents for assigned sites or studies.
• Act as the main liaison for site staff on operational queries, documentation requirements and study processes.
• Update site status and information accurately and timely in clinical trial management systems and trackers.
• Coordinate site visits, meetings and communications in collaboration with CRAs and project teams.
• Identify opportunities to streamline site workflows and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior site support team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, business or related field, or equivalent clinical research experience.
• Strong experience in site support, clinical administration or similar roles within CRO, pharma or healthcare.
• Fluent English with excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple sites and competing priorities.

Required skills

• Good understanding of clinical trial processes and GCP.
• Experience with clinical trial management systems and site documentation requirements.
