Senior Software Engineer – Medical Devices (Cloud‑Native Backend)

About the role

Analog Devices is looking for a senior software engineer to design, develop and maintain cloud‑native backend platforms that enable connected medical devices and digital health solutions. You will work in a regulated environment, ensuring scalability, security and reliability for patient‑centric applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate scalable backend services for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) and connected health devices.
• Develop micro‑service architectures, APIs and event‑driven components using modern cloud‑native patterns.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, encryption and audit logging to meet HIPAA and other healthcare compliance requirements.
• Leverage AWS services (ECS, EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, Cognito) to deliver robust cloud solutions.
• Participate in verification and validation activities aligned with FDA and medical‑device standards.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks and infrastructure‑as‑code for continuous delivery.
• Provide post‑market support and enhancements throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience building cloud‑native backend platforms for regulated medical or health‑tech products.
• Strong understanding of security, privacy and compliance requirements in the healthcare domain.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional engineering and product teams.
• Track record of delivering high‑quality software from concept to market.
