Unimog Chassis Manufacturing Process Planning Engineer

About the role

Mercedes-Benz Türk develops and manufactures trucks and buses in Istanbul and Aksaray as part of Daimler Truck AG's production and R&D network. As a Unimog Chassis Manufacturing Process Planning Engineer in the Engineering team, you will plan Unimog chassis production and help shape sustainable, safe and accessible transportation.

Key responsibilities

• Define the processes of Unimog chassis and component manufacturing lines.
• Plan and implement the required equipment.
• Carry out capacity calculations and time studies.
• Prepare workflow and material flow plans for component manufacturing and Unimog chassis production.
• Select components to maximize vehicle cost benefits, run wire studies and prepare investment and implementation documentation.
• Conduct global wire studies with Wörth Component Manufacturing, Supplier Management, Purchasing and Controlling.
• Plan Unimog chassis production for series and prototype, integrate product changes and coordinate with Wörth Development.
• Manage global projects related to Unimog and component manufacturing.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive or an equivalent engineering field (BSc/MSc/Dipl.-Ing.).
• Experience in automotive component or product design.
• Team-oriented, with strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English and ability to travel when required.

Required skills

• Siemens NX CAD, SAP and MS Office.
• Nice to have: technical drawings, REFA process planning, welding and surface protection/coating techniques.
