Vision Systems & Automation Expert

About the role

Reed Turkey is recruiting a Vision Systems & Automation Expert for an international manufacturing client. The role covers machine vision solutions for manufacturing, testing and assembly systems, working with Engineering, Production, Quality, IT, Maintenance and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement machine vision solutions for manufacturing, testing and assembly systems.
• Design, optimize and standardize vision architectures, image-processing algorithms and inspection concepts.
• Analyze technical requirements and assess the feasibility of vision, software and automation solutions.
• Create technical concepts, proof-of-concepts and feasibility studies for new technologies and applications.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, IT, Maintenance and external suppliers during project execution.
• Support the development of scalable, reusable software components and automation architectures.
• Lead commissioning, validation, optimization and continuous improvement of vision systems.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies in industrial vision, AI and machine learning.
• Contribute to global standardization and knowledge-sharing across manufacturing sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Experience with industrial vision systems, image processing and automated inspection.
• Experience in automation systems and PLC programming.
• Experience in system commissioning, troubleshooting and optimization.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in cross-functional and international environments.
• Good command of English.

Required skills

• Software development and programming in Python, C# or C++.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and automation architectures.
• Nice to have: AI-based vision and machine learning, databases and traceability systems, machine safety, validation and risk assessment, global manufacturing projects.
