Chapter Lead Engineer

About the role

Design the future architecture of one of Europe's most innovative banking networks while empowering engineers to do their best work. As a Solution Architect Chapter Lead at ING Hubs Türkiye, you will shape technology strategy, design scalable solutions, mentor engineers, and lead a high‑performing team delivering impact across ING's global ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define end‑to‑end solution architectures across multiple systems and domains.
• Lead feasibility studies, solution assessments and cloud‑modernisation programmes.
• Guide engineering teams through complex transformation initiatives and ensure alignment with ING’s architectural principles.
• Manage and coach a chapter of 8‑12 engineers, supporting career growth, hiring and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with product owners, domain architects, engineering leads and business stakeholders to translate needs into secure, maintainable solutions.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, solution design or architecture.
• Proven leadership of technical teams in complex, Agile environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• Fluent English (C1 level or above).
