Senior Agentic AI Engineer

About the role

Define, drive, and govern the technical strategy for enterprise Agentic AI platforms, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant AI capabilities across ING. The role combines architecture, platform engineering, governance, and stakeholder engagement in a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Define enterprise AI and Agentic AI architecture vision, standards, and roadmap; lead strategic AI initiatives.
• Design and evolve AI platforms, multi‑agent systems, and best practices for LLMs, RAG, and agent orchestration.
• Serve as senior technical authority, mentor engineers, and promote engineering excellence.
• Define cloud and platform strategies for AI workloads, drive automation, DevOps, and ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Establish Responsible AI, security, privacy, and compliance standards; drive governance and risk management.
• Partner with senior leaders to align AI strategy with business goals and communicate technical concepts to executives.

Required profile

• 6+ years of software engineering and architecture experience, with a strong background in distributed, event‑driven systems.
• Proven track record delivering production AI and Agentic AI platforms at enterprise scale.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and influencing architecture across multiple teams.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, Data Science or related field; certifications in cloud or AI are a plus.

Required skills

• Expert‑level Python development.
• Distributed systems, scalable architectures, event‑driven design, reliability engineering.
• LLM applications, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, multi‑agent systems; hands‑on with LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI or AutoGen.
• AI evaluation, observability, and optimization practices.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, containerization, IaC, CI/CD.
• Understanding of Responsible AI, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
