About the role

ICBC Turkey is seeking a specialist to join its Internal Control and Compliance Department. The role focuses on monitoring regulatory developments and ensuring that banking operations align with Turkish legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously track legislation, circulars, and announcements from BRSA, CBRT, CMB, MASAK, TBA and other regulatory bodies and analyse their impact on banking processes.
• Communicate regulatory updates and authority notifications to relevant departments and branches, and monitor the outcomes.
• Evaluate internal regulatory inquiries, provide guidance and draft formal legal and regulatory opinions.
• Act as a regulatory/compliance advisor in project groups assessing risks for new products, services, business models and system enhancements.
• Review and align new or updated bank policies, procedures and internal regulations with current legislation.
• Prepare reports and presentations in English and Turkish for senior management and the foreign parent company on key regulatory developments and compliance risks.
• Support the planning and delivery of internal training, briefing sessions and compliance awareness activities, including preparation of training materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Banking or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the banking sector, preferably in Regulatory Compliance or Legal departments.
• Deep knowledge of Turkish banking regulations (BRSA, CBRT, CMB, MASAK) and ability to translate requirements into practice.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
