Quality Engineer – Automotive Plastic Components

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our automotive‑focused company that manufactures plastic components. The role involves ensuring compliance with OEM quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and supporting customer‑specific requirements from manufacturers such as Toyota and Ford.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct internal process and system audits.
• Report audit findings, risks and improvement opportunities to the Quality Manager.
• Follow up on non‑conformities identified during internal and external audits.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions with relevant departments.
• Lead 8D problem‑solving activities for customer complaints and quality issues.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and verify permanent corrective actions.
• Monitor departmental process performance indicators and quality KPIs.
• Analyse KPI results and report deviations, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Support integration of Toyota and Ford customer‑specific requirements.
• Contribute to the development of the quality management system and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of automotive quality experience (preferably 2‑5 years).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving and customer‑relation skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Motivation for continuous improvement activities.

Required skills

• IATF 16949 Quality Management System knowledge.
• ISO 19011 Internal Auditing certification (preferred).
• Familiarity with Ford Quality Systems and Toyota customer‑specific requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• 8D problem‑solving methodology.
• Root cause analysis techniques.
• KPI monitoring and reporting.
• CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) coordination.
