Load Test Engineer

About the role

Cyrex, a Magic Media company, is seeking a Load Test Engineer to help its gaming and media clients ensure their systems can handle massive user spikes. You will work on both the load‑testing platform and the actual test scenarios that simulate real‑world traffic.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve Cyrex’s proprietary load‑testing platform built with Go, React and AWS.
• Design, develop and execute load‑testing scenarios in Python for a variety of protocols.
• Collaborate directly with client engineering teams to define test goals, run tests, analyse results and iterate on solutions.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, propose fixes and support customers through remediation.
• Participate in and eventually lead client‑facing performance testing workshops.

Required profile

• Comfortable moving across the full stack and engaging with customers.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to translate performance data into actionable recommendations.
• Willingness to work with multiple technologies as needed (Go, TypeScript, Terraform, AWS).

Required skills

• Python (primary language for test development).
• Go (backend of the testing platform).
• TypeScript (React front‑ends).
• Terraform (infrastructure as code).
• AWS (cloud environment for load generation).
• React (frontend framework).
