Logistics & Customs Specialist

About the role

Avolta is seeking an experienced Logistics & Customs Specialist to join its team at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. The role ensures accurate and compliant execution of all customs‑related operations for the Turkey Duty Free business, supporting the company’s global travel retail network.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customs clearance processes for imported goods and ensure timely completion of official procedures.
• Prepare, review, submit and register customs declarations for import, bonded warehouse, transit and summary processes.
• Maintain customs documentation such as invoices, bills of lading, permits and licenses.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, airport authorities and other regulatory bodies.
• Monitor inventory movements between bonded warehouses, distribution facilities and duty‑free stores, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
• Generate inventory reports, reconciliations and statistical summaries.

Required profile

• Proven experience in customs clearance, import operations and bonded warehouse management.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish customs laws, duty‑free regulations and related company policies.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under regulatory constraints.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with authorities and internal departments.

Required skills

• Customs declaration preparation and submission.
