Regulatory and Compliance Team Lead

About the role

World Business Lenders is seeking a Regulatory and Compliance Team Lead to manage the operational compliance framework supporting its lending, servicing, and corporate activities. The role translates federal and state requirements into policies, controls, training, and reporting while supervising a small compliance team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the compliance framework across lending, servicing, and corporate operations, maintaining risk assessments, obligations inventory, and annual work plans.
• Monitor adherence to federal and state requirements, oversee licensing, disclosure obligations, and regulatory change management.
• Establish risk‑based monitoring and testing plans, review findings, assign corrective actions, and track remediation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, IT, Internal Audit and other functions to embed compliance requirements and provide dashboards and risk summaries to executive leadership.

Required profile

• Law degree with proof of qualification and fluent English communication.
• 5‑10+ years of regulatory compliance, legal, risk, or audit experience in financial services or a similarly regulated industry.
• Experience leading teams, developing policies, and managing compliance projects.

Required skills

• Regulatory research and change management.
• Compliance risk assessments, control frameworks, monitoring and testing.
• Licensing, disclosure, policy development, training and examination support.
• Issue management, root‑cause analysis, remediation tracking, executive reporting.
• Proficiency with Outlook and Teams for scheduling and collaboration.
