About the role

BGTS International Business Unit is building a virtual bank from scratch using cloud‑native technologies. As a Backend Engineer you will join a small interdisciplinary team to design, develop and continuously improve high‑quality backend services.

Key responsibilities

Greenfield development and ongoing enhancement of existing systems.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and event‑driven microservices using Kafka.
Deploy, schedule and run microservices with Kubernetes and Docker.
Write maintainable code following test‑driven development (TDD) practices.
Utilise PostgreSQL, Aurora and S3 for data persistence and leverage elastic AWS infrastructure.

Required profile

Fluent in Kotlin and/or Java with solid backend development experience.
Proven experience with CI/CD processes in a fast‑paced team.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
